Maintain all services within or out of scope of an application and allows five different rate cards to cater to different customer segments. It also manages technical data such as budget, observation data capture format, number of uncertainty ranges with allowed CMC.
Manage quotation till invoice, raise invoices based on completion of calibration jobs and reports indicating gaps or delays in invoicing. It has five different price slabs for each product/service. On receipt of customer order, it records the Service Request Order (SRF/SRO) and email Service Request for acknowledgement of work required before initiation of work.
You can allow customer representative a login to this application, and he/she will be allowed to view all UUC registered with the lab till date, his access to the LIMS will be limited to the company work and data on read only basis. More value to the customer comes from various features summarised below

Manage all your standard/Master product inventory within the application, provide email reminders to laboratory in-charge every month of upcoming expiry dates. Identify impact and apply changes of Ue after re-calibration of Standard instruments on budget calculation in all procedures where the standard is being used. Standard with expired validity are restricted from being used for calibration of customer DUC/UUC.
Laboratory can assess workload of each staff and redistribute it accordingly. Each job can be assigned to one or more engineer and email notification to a resource can be sent. ‘Percentage of completion’ is the percentage of completed calibration on points over total number of points calibrated as per procedure or customer requirement.
Timesheet module could be activated for the laboratories willing/wishing to record people utilisation data on LIMS. Time data kept can be used for monitoring cost and productive utilisation per instrument/job assigned. In addition, planned holiday and statuary holidays would be available on a single page.
Record key UUC details, such as zero error, least count, location, remarks when last calibrated, last calibrated date and resource. Regular email reminder to laboratory in-charge and sales representative responsible for customer engagement for UUCs upcoming recalibration date.
Technical Calculations: Calculate all scientific and statistical calculations within the application thus providing freedom from spreadsheet based equations and hence manual errors. Calculations such as to convert degree from volt, and resistance using well known polynomial equations, corrections to weight,pressure, volume, force and dimensions are all included in it. Architecture is open, new functions can be added without affecting earlier functions.
Process: It can generate and save documents produced as part of the process starting from Service request form, Job card, Observation form and calibration certificate. Engineer can trigger mail for review of calibration results to approver, and vice-verse, approver can mail back to engineer informing him about approval,rejection or a re-do instruction. Certificate generation is allowed only after approval of observations and calibration results. Certificates generated fulfills all the requirements laid out in clause 5.10 of 17025
Interfaces with your standard instrument to log results automatically could be build and plugged in by choice
Multiple on-screen reports providing key performance reports relating to sales process, Invoice realization process, calibration project progress (optionally reports can be downloaded in CSV, PDF, XML formats also). How many streams of calibration can be managed by this software?

The software product is flexible and generic in nature, and formats can be designed to capture experiment data for all the streams namely Mechanical, Thermal, Electo-technical, Optical etc. Our current deployment for labs have tested this for Mechanical, Thermal and Electro-technical instruments. We are offering ready made calibration specific data such as formats, cmc and recommended master references as an option for labs needing quick start.

We are providing service to all our customers (within India as well) remotely using the phone and remote sharing software tools (using skype, teamviewer etc).
I want to know whether the labs can define new formats or variation of existing formats or there are some restrictions on labs to the extent they can tweak the formats. Pl clarify?

Answer to your question is Yes, labs can define new formats via clone functionality provided within application and/or create any number of versions of pre-defined formats for data capturing. There is no limit as such by SCC LIMS products (in both calibration and material testing). Labs can use predefined functions (as per syntax given by SCC) to define new formats.
However only limited number (around 20) functions are available (such as sum, average, median, difference, variance etc ) for use to auto-calculate derived columns in formats thus in case, a new function is required to calculate derived value then labs may have to consult SCC IT who will in turn add the function in the library and may charge for the same as well.
