Major Upgrade: Recommended for all deployments.
1. Manage Unit under calibration (UUC) details
What it does?
A new module has been added into SmartCalibration record and maintain each of the UUC calibrated by the LABS. Simply speaking manage instrument inventory of your customers within this LIMS.
Benefit: as the business is repetitive, Advantage of this module comes when UUC comes back for calibration next time,
i. all the previous records could be accessible from a single page
ii. Can select the previously entered uuc, no need to enter details of UUC again (such as model, make, sr number)
iii. Can see past repair status
iv. Could see previous observations and uncertainty that could give idea around wear and tear that has come to UUC
v. Remind to customers about upcoming calibration could now be sent with UUC serial number, location etc. i.e. the details that was captured by the lab earlier
How it is integrated with the current system?
Following pages has been modified or newly introduced.
Job Card Modified: The UUC details could be selected from Job Card now, instead of entering serial number model make, user can select UUC if existing in master database otherwise goto UUC create through a single click from Job Card.
ManageUUC: The module list all the UUC serviced by the lab, that can be filtered specifically to list for a customer, a uuc label, and calibration due date etc. It also allows user to add new UUC (especially useful at the time of setup of LIMS for your lab, if lab already have paper database of all UUC calibrated till now). This module is also called from Job Card.
Clicking on Serial number in the list of ManageUUC could take the users to see history of particular UUC (all prior visit records)
Pl Note: Job Card database table has been modified for the purpose, the user accustomed to enter model/make/sr number may requires to be instructed about the change.
UUCStory: list all previous records of UUC visit to the lab, with the flexibility of user to download previous certificate or visit last observation records
Both Manage UUC and UUC Story pages could be viewed by your client contacts if in case, you have external users from your client organizations.
Other Minor changes:
1. Calibration Index : page that comes when you click on main menu option of calibration, page look and feel change, quick links provided to jump to observation page, product calibration data page or Invoice page.
2. Observation page: Observation form could be generated from the users at any point of time during the experiment stage.
3. Observation Page: Calculated field values are displayed back in precision specified at the format definition stage.
While all the minor changes will be applied on all deployments as some are essential and other are value add features not conflicting with other features.
As for Major upgrade related to UUC management, please drop a line if you wish to take this upgrade to your deployment. New deployment we are working on at the moment will be implemented with this upgrade. If no acknowledgment received within a month, it will be taken as “No” and the upgrade will not be deployed on your system. As usual, if you wish to adopt the change later, it will be charged.
